Back In Nanjing

Once again, only time for a very short update.

We got back to Nanjing from Xi'an last night. It was something of a nervous experience because the place was late and we did NOT want to get stuck there. It is a grimy, polluted place. Nanjing, which is not exactly the tidiest place on Earth, looks almost antiseptic by comparison.

Today was mainly taken up with packing to go back to the USA, via Shanghai. We leave very early tomorrow, but once in Shanghai, my internet access is going to drop off again.

Packing! I'm starting to understand how they fit all those clowns in that little car at the circus! How are we going to get all this stuff home?? We even took the expediency of mailing a couple boxes of stuff to ourselves. We'll probably see it sometime after Xmas.
