Sign of Spring

Something I forgot to mention about yesterday, we were very busy in spite of the fact that it was a very lovely Spring day. Usually the first days of good weather are sales-killers, but the lure of 50% off back issues is enough to make comic fans forget the nice weather for one day.

The weather was gorgeous today too - I was wandering around outside with just a short sleeve shirt on. A beautiful Sunday in Spring.

And, I was witness to the first sign that Spring is really here, at least in this neighborhood. No, it's not the first robin, or the first crocuses - it's the Motorcycle Maniac!

There is this guy who lives a couple blocks away, as soon as the weather is warm enough, he starts tearing around the neighborhood on his noisy, sputtering, green motorcycle. He tears up and down the streets like his ass is on fire - he must be going at least 60 miles an hour.

I also know that he really isn't going anyplace - just a couple minutes ago I saw him come tearing up the street heading south, then no less than 30 seconds later he came barreling by again, going north.

Boy, talk about cabin fever! Being cooped up all winter has a bad effect on some people.

Part of me wants to call the police and report his reckless, annoying behavior, but why bother? It's doubtful that they'll be able to catch him. So, let him have his fun.
