Home Alone

I got up at the crack of dawn today to put Lily and her friend Tanya on a plane. The two of them are going down to visit Lily's cousins in Virginia. They're going to be gone for less than a week, but this is the longest that Lily and I have been apart since she moved in last August. How will we handle being apart? Oh, I think we'll be okay - it's only for a few days.

So while the cat's away the mice will play, right?

Not exactly. This mouse is rather old and creaky.

Instead of wild debauchery, I'm planning to get caught up on a few things. This apartment needs a good cleaning, and I seem to have a hard time getting busy on that when Lily is around. She is too much of a pleasant distraction, I guess. Actually I don't want to disturb her by running a vacuum, etc.

Of course the other thing I want to get caught up on is this journal. Well, we'll see, eh?
