Top 100 of 1998

As I mentioned here a while back I've been doing a musical exploration of 1998, and I've finished the first part: I now have my tentative list of songs. I've put them on cassette tapes and over the next few weeks I'm going to be revising the order, and when I'm done I'll put the final lest here.

I'm not going to apologize for my musical taste or lack thereof (ahem!- Number 9 - ahem!) but probably the list will change quite a bit before it reaches its final form.

Making entries out of computer-produced lists is a mixed blessing. It gives me ready-made content, but it's a struggle to make it not look like crap. Here goes...
