Cement Head

I don't know what it is, but recently I've been having a hell of a time putting two coherent thoughts together, especially in the morning. Maybe it has something to do with my new and "improved" sleeping schedule.

In the last few days Lily has started a new job that requires her to get up very early. Like 5 AM, 6 AM - that kind of early. The problem is that I find that I'm getting up at that time too, or maybe an hour or two later. The trouble with that is I'm still going to bed at the same time, say 2 or 3 in the morning.

Technically, it should be great! Here I have all this time in the morning to get things done, but instead I sit around in stupor until noon. Today that got me in some trouble since I needed to talk with someone about getting my car fixed in the morning, and it totally slipped my mind. Now it's too late to get the car fixed until tomorrow.

Actually, it was a little more complicated than that - I was expecting them to call me, but it didn't occur to me that they might try me at the store, which is what they did. I was just not thinking very clearly.

I feel like my head is full of cement. I don’t know whether this is a function of diabetes, or lack of sleep. Well, whatever it is, it's no fun. Make it stop, someone!
