Ack.

The hills are alive... with the sound of mucus.

Well, I sounded all cheery and peppy yesterday but I certainly didn't feel it. The thing is, I still have a cold. It was kind of cute and funny when it was laryngitis, but now it is a garden variety chest cold and it sucks. It's pretty mild as colds go - I feel a little tired and a little wheezy but not too bad.

However, the same can't be said of Lily. She was the first one who had the cold and it appeared, by dint of some quick action with some herbal supplements, that she managed to get over it quickly. While I was croaking and squeaking, she seemed to be almost completely better. However, now I'm feeling a little better and she is clearly worse. What's worse is that since Lily has asthma her chest colds are much worse and I can hear her lungs whistling and rattling as she breathes.

I hate to say it, but it seems that we are not sharing a cold, but sharing two colds. I bet the kids in my chess class gave one to me, and Lily's classmates gave one to her. Now we've traded and we're enjoying each other's disease.

Isn't that just what you wanted to hear me talk about today? Well, it is Friday the thirteenth. Good Friday, my ass.

Ack. I think I shall go lie down.
